Sensei Chojun Miyagi (1888 – 1953) is the founder of Goju Ryu Karate. One of the 4 styles recognized by the World Karate Federation. He began his training at an early age and when he turned 14, he was sent to study under the great master Kanryo Higaonna

Philosophy

Karate is not only a self defense training, but a Japanese art full of traditional values and life lessons. In DBK we try to train the art as if you were in Okinawa, Japan. By showing respect to senior members, bow and greet. Using the original Japanese language and uniform, by taking care of each other, accountability and discipline.

Over all, through Karate we pursuit self discovery and to develop the best version of ourselves.
